Now, I love dogs. But even a die-hard dog fan would admit they come with a certain built-in hassle factor.
Particularly, the lazy, spoiled kind like ours.
For example, just recall the name of this blog.
But potential dog owners should be aware that getting a dog could spell the death of your sex life.
Logistically, a dog in the middle of your bed hampers things. Our dog positions herself nightly in between my knees. Wedging me in for all of darkness.
Not the family member you want in that location for closeness…
And our dog is on top of the covers (hence the pin-down). Let’s not even go to those certain creepy, over-indulged pooches who snuggle with their owners under the covers.
Then there’s the forepaw foreplay issue.
OH, you are SO beautiful! You are just gorgeous!
Yeah, all those daytime sweet nothings, massaging and kisses go straight to the dog. But I’m not jealous.
Our dog and the Hubs have even had honeymoon trips to the Oregon coast. Just the two of them, taking long walks, chasing seagulls watching the sunset, rolling in decomposing crab shells and sharing steak dinners.
Yes, at best in the canine world, you become a threesome.
So, the choice is yours. Choose wisely.

This is why we have cats.
Makes sense. Explains the 3 kids, too.
Nice dog you have there:) It’s hard to compete with a dog:)lol. My mom even brings Takki (our dog) a treat from Mcdonalds. When I whine about my share, she’ll just tell me to go buy myself one:)
Tin, my husband does that too with the dog! She drools waterfalls when you turn into a drive-thru now…
This really tickled my funny bone.:) Drooling:) lol. You just gave me a fantastic idea to feature Takki in my blog. By the way, Wendy, I’m thinking of self-hosting my site, is it worth it? Just realized can’t add the comment luv plug in…
When he’s hungry, he’ll lightly scratch your leg and then look at you (puppy looks). Who wouldn’t feed someone like that? When I talk to him, he’ll tilt his head to one side and look at you, tongue out.:) hehehe…he is scared of roaches and mice though:)
