Between the karma sucking crushing of hundreds of creatures with every step and the concern that one of the kids is going to take a dive head first onto the barnacle encrusted rocks, I too find that tidal pool expeditions are seriously overrated.

kirsten, it is totally a mine field out there! i really prefer going in cooler temps so kids are more covered up, in boots, etc for that very reason.
