your barf preference?

An actual car conversation recently:
[Kid takes big gulp from water bottle in back seat.]
“Oh, Mommy, I almost just barfed!”
“Oh?” [Mommy keeps driving.]
“Yeah, but it was more like a water barf.”
“Well, THAT’S good.”
“Yeah, it’s much better to have a water barf than a regular barf.”
Kid has clearly thought through this issue.
We didn’t get to the question of a pumpkin barf and whether it’s better or worse than a water barf.

yes, i wonder what made the pumpkin barf…. hey, that could be a title of a children’s book! (picture book, of course)
