“squirrel proof” proof

Most advertising is too exaggerated to believe–”a taste you’ll find irresistible” “melts in your mouth, not in your hand,” “hours of sexual pleasure” you know what I mean.

But now, we find a product living up to its claims: the squirrel-proof bird feeder.

    Two questions: (1) How do the birds get in there to eat? and (2) How long did you spend staring through the lens of your camera to get those great shots? Because between squirrel watching and soap opera watching, I’m wondering who’s cleaning your bathroom. :-) (Just kidding! Clean bathrooms are highly overrated.)

    only the small birds or ones with long beaks can get the food. which is a problem for our pigeons and even towhees.

    usually, the dog will tell me if there is a critter around. i’m not stalking. altho, the beauty of a small house is i’m usually close by the windows and the camera lives near them, too. just in case. and the bathrooms are dirty!!

    Squirrels are wicked smart and creative! They run circles (literally) around my cats.

    Great photos! I love the fact you have squirrels in your garden. Squirrels only live in forests here in my country, and they’re not many. I think they’re so cute.

    Poor Mr. Squirrel. I guess he’ll have to steal some other bird food from a different home owner who purchased an inferior bird-feeder.
