We’re getting another Pineapple Express going on here. Are they really supposed to issue flood warnings before the rain even starts?
And if you haven’t had the pleasure of a Pineapple Express, you can read about them here. Apparently, if you don’t go to Hawaii, it will come to you. Minus the sun part.
How do you cope with this wetness?

I know nothing else. Born and raised Pacific Northwest. Yes it is wet. And yes, when we get weeklong storms, I have been known to complain about the rain. But I love it here. It’s always green.

We cope by living where you grew up, — where it’s more sunny than wet. Then there’s the heat to cope with, which is OK with a/c everywhere. We haven’t had to learn how to cope with too much rain too often, as it doesn’t last very long. The lightening storms, plus hail & tornado warnings are plenty exciting, though!
Hot baths and large mugs of tea.

Dumb, this time of year is the hardest for me with the daylight hours getting shorter and the rain clouds blocking the sun. I do really love the area overall, the evergreens, the water, the mountains. Ahhhhh.
GL, that heat there is a HUGE factor for me. Toooo hot and you have to take cover hiding inside with the a/c.
Mrs. G, is it REALLY mugs of TEA?? No whiskey?
I’m voting for rain boots and a slicker. That’s how we get by ’round these parts. Because the rain has begun, here, too. Except, I prefer muck boots, because when it rains everything turns to MUD. Ick.

When in Juneau, my rainjacket was like second skin. I am beginning to like the mud part (if outside!) compared to the concrete jungle world where you never step on dirt/mud.
