the boys and girls go to the farm
Once upon a time, last week, I went with a bunch of kindergarteners to a farm. Which explains my cold today.
The sheep were trained to come running at the screech of the school bus brakes.
Probably because we then took turns feeding them.
Mrs. Jensen explained to the children how your fingers became your toys when you didn’t have TV in 1900.
Mr. Jensen then hypnotized the boys and girls and made them cluck like chickens.
Later, we stole their lunches and fed the 5 week old piglets.
Kid stomped off mad. I forget why. The end.
Aren’t field trips fun?

How fun! Unruly used to be impressed by the farm field trips. Not so much any more. She always says something snarky like “My chickens are prettier,” or “I can ride my horse.” Spoiled rotten little imp.

Well, Unruly has her very own farm so she gets some bragging rights. But she also has chores on that farm, yes?!

Oh, absolutely! Every morning and evening she’s out feedin’ the goats and the chickens. Those are HER responsibility. She gets to feed the dogs in the morning, too.
