Time to bore you all with pumpkin patch pictures. It’s so picturesque, who can resist taking your cute kid and heading out with a camera? Practically no one, that’s who.
See the eagles?
This visit I was distracted from the pretty pumpkins by these two bald eagles that were chirping up there. I was sorry I didn’t have my telephoto lens. Who knew eagles liked pumpkins, too?
As if the eagles weren’t treat enough (for me, they were but I’m a dork that way), we timed it right for tractor rides this year. Woo hooooooo.
Baby pumpkins, ripped from the earth too soon?? Or just pygmy pumpkins?
And what are these red things down here?
The perfect pumpkin? Which we left there. Why? Because Kid demanded that we get our pumpkins this year at the grocery store.
Yes, we live in this lovely, green island with its pockets of rural beauty, and Kid wants grocery store pumpkins, plucked from a pile in the parking lot.
Sorry I have no photos of that but there was too much traffic. Geesh.

Gorgeous pictures. I may need to use one for my desktop picture. Kids don’t understand the beauty of picking a pumpkin in the fields. Go figure…Thanks for sharing.

I’m all for pick-your-battles parenting (which is why my toddler is still wearing her bathing suit in October), but I think I would have to draw the line at foregoing pumpkin patch pumpkins for the store bought variety. I hope that you at least picked one for yourself at the patch.
Love the eagles, by the way! Way better than pumpkins.

That is the perfect pumpkin.

Mike, you are welcome to use a photo. I can email a larger version, too.
Brooke, I know! But see what happens when your child is spoiled with such things all the time!
Mrs. G, it IS nice, isn’t it? Wonder who has it now…
Citizen, it does make it official. Fall is here. Next I’ll be baking pies….
