A week or so ago we attended the annual Harvest Fair here on Bainbridge Island (yeah, I’m slow; next week I’m gonna comment on the VP debate) . It is one of those cute, small town events that a city slicker like me scoffs at and goes to every year. I love it. It’s held on a beautiful property with rolling hills.
Although there were rides like a giant tube slide and a giant swing, even the kids had small town fun, picking apples and mutilating apple trees.
Not sure why the hubs said his back hurt later. Okay, but this is the LAST time whoever you are…
A wicked witch did appear and melt a sheep. Actually, these are the remains from the sheep shearing. Baaa, I feel like a whole new sheep!
Wooden animals, so much more interesting than live ones. Hey, what up with da milk? Is this cow constipated?
Zucchini contest entrants. Winner weighed in over 13lbs! Is that a zucchini in your pocket or did you just eat a sea otter?
For the community picture, white doves were released. They didn’t stick around. Over here, guys, someone’s washing their car!
Next year, I hope to sample the pie contest entrants and sneak onto the slide!

Dawn, glad they do something fun there for fall, too. I love this time of year, too! Yay, last chemo!
Brian, I didn’t have a good shot of the apple press, so thanks for picking up that slack!
I know people say cockroaches are the only thing that would survive a nuclear holocaust, but I, for one, think it’s actually zucchini.
