It’d be cheaper if he’d just watch football like the other guys….
Instead, the hubs watches James Bond movies late at night, and unlike the rest of us, he watches the commercials. Including the one from the ASPCA.
Which apparently offers an annual subscription to support a dog or cat every month. And did the hubs come right out and tell me about his sudden burst of generosity? Neeeewww. I found out when the THANK YOU package arrived.
Amusingly, when it arrived and the hubs was out of town, I told my friend it came but I hadn’t opened it. She said, “OH, has he been watching late night tv??”
And when I asked the hubs that question, he said, “Errrr, yes.” Busted.
(In his defense, I’m told the photographs of pets were quite compelling.)
So this explains why we’re now proud owners of a We are their voice! t-shirt. Annual subscription?!
As if supporting our couch-potato, everything-eating, shoe-stealing, bed-hogging pooch isn’t enough for him.
Please come away from your computer and get me another bone. I’m withering away here. Thx.

My wife volunteers at a cat shelter and threatens to bring another one home (we have two already to go with the dog). I told her either me or the cats. She took a long time to decide….Should I worry?

Good golly! Ya know, those commercials can be quite compelling – they craft those puppies (heh, pun) to tug at them thar heart strings!

LOL. I thought you were going to say he adopted another dog! B and I almost did that and had to step back and flag ourselves for bad decision making. Yours is a bit smarter.

thank goodness he didn’t bring home a dog, but he wouldn’t do that because his little furry princess would freak out (the dog, not me!) if she had to share his attention and bones with another pooch and he knows it!

What a spoiled rotten little princess! Hehe! Her look says to me “go ahead…just TRY to make me get off the couch. I double dog dare ya.”
If I bring home one more needy pet my husband will make me live with the chickens. Seriously. We are now up to three dogs (large dogs!) and six *gulp* cats. OMG. I just said that out loud. One of the dogs and two of the cats are pensioners I’ve had their entire lives. My oldest cat is 15 years old this year.
