Zucchini Races…because you must know
Our little Bainbridge Island Farmers Market has an annual zucchini race. Naturally. Well, you can only eat so much minestrone soup, and then what do you do with all that fr*%#in’ zucchini?? They had 70+ racers this year, ranging in size from small to big. And the same is true for the actual zucchinis used.
I was unaware of the real and imminent danger of zucchinis out of control. Chances are, zucchini racers, if you do not coast straight to the finish line, you will end up broken, parts flying, shards of decorations snagged in the grass, wheels rolling away separately, your speed machine shattered. Who knew such tragedies were possible at the farmers market?
This year (my first time) we watched. Maybe next year, we’ll compete. Got any suggestions for how to make a zucchini fast?
[OMG, look at me. I'm practically vlogging.....]
