I told you about my Secret the other day. What I didn’t mention is that I also started another affirmation which is:
“More money flows into my life each day.”
(Before you fall off your chair laughing at me, in my defense I have lived in a California a few times. That fruits-and-nuts stuff rubs off, or doesn’t rub off, I mean, kinda like the ink from those damn Blendy pens.)
Has the affirmation worked? Well, it started with me finding lots of coins on the ground. Not too exciting, but okay. Plus, some dollars in the laundry (my “tip” for chores, I decided).
Then it evolved into people giving me extra change whenever I bought something. If I gave a five dollar bill, they’d give me change for a ten. If I gave a ten, they gave me change for a twenty.
I am not BS’ing ya. It’s been happening.
So this generosity of the Universe leaves me with a moral dilemma. Do you give back extra change? Do you even count your change when you get it?
What if you’ve been saying daily affirmations about receiving more money? You might insult the Universe handing that money back, doncha think? Really, the extra dough might only amount to mere cents per affirmation.
A few bucks here and there have been nice, but I need to ramp this thing up. Any ideas?
And “get a job, Wendy” is NOT helpful. I don’t want to work for the man again. The man being a guy named Kevin. Nice enough fellow, but still….

I’ve almost always had mystery money show up when I needed it the most. Sometimes it’s a class action lawsuit settlement check that I didn’t even remember being a part of and sometimes it’s a random rebate or stock dividend. I always thought that it was because I *didn’t* keep the money when I got extra change (and I noticed it in a timely manner). It was my good money karma.
As for the ramping it up, I wish I had an idea for that for myself. But if I have any ideas, I’ll let you know!
So, you’re saying I’m jinxing myself not giving back the free cash when I get change? Hmmmmm.

I think the Universe is testing you. Money given to you be mistake is money not “earned”. Because of bad karma, I’d return money given by mistake. If its legitimate, by all means keep it.
As for making more, when you find out, please share…

so, does money have to be “earned” to avoid bad karma? what about surprise inheritances or lotto or…?
I totally believe in the Secret. I’m not sure about the logistics of keeping the change, etc.. but I’m pretty sure if you don’t feel right about it then it is most likely going to end up working against you in the long run.
