Lessons from Project Runway this week
I have just a few notes from PR, including spoilers, so be forewarned.
First off, Wesley’s dress WAS bad (and he seemed to know it), so adios. Also, his name kinda bugged me. The Hubs would guess he got beat up on the playground a lot.
Blayne, who annoyed me the first show, cracked me up with all his mocking of Stella and her luv of leather (or “leatha!” as he said it). She somehow pulled out a good one this time, so I’ll give her that.
Then during judging, Nina Garcia (or, as Heidi says, “NEE-NAH GAH-SEEYAH”) provided a little profound advice that we should all heed:
Shiny, tight and short = cheap look.
Good to know. Better return my Kid’s latest fairy dress.
Lastly, we come to Leanne. Oh, Leanne, Leanne, Leanne. I like you, but have you NOT been paying attention to ANY prior season?
LISTEN TO TIM!! If Tim says there’s too much going on, there’s TOO MUCH GOING ON.
Even I know that, and I can only sew on buttons. But I wouldn’t sew on TOO MANY buttons, if Tim said not to.
Are ya with me on this stuff, readers? Did you agree with Wesley going home?
Tune in next week for more PR reviews…..

I agreed with their decision 100%. Although I did feel bad for the designers that had the same fabric. I can’t believe that the models were that dense! Don’t you kind of what something that’s different from everybody else?

I hated Wesley’s dress, but awww, the poor sweet thing. He was happy just to have been chosen for the show. I think he should’ve been allowed to stay just because his head is so much littler than the others’ heads. Humility is refreshing.
Stella scares me…I would not want to meet her in a dark alley.
And the winning dress? I GUESS I can see why it won, it was creative, sure. But c’mon, does anyone over the age of 3 really want to wear a tutu?

ms teacher, it really showed how dense all those models are (sad to see the stereotype fit!), which kinda surprised me since they seem to test them on fabrics and style on America’s Next Top Model, don’t they?
elizabeth, you crack me up. You and Blayne. Stella frightens me, too. Oh, that look she can give. I’d be scared to tease her within earshot. Now that you mention it, Wesley’s head IS small. Hmmm.

Never seen the show. Maybe fortunately, from your description.

I totally love the way Heidi says Nina’s name! I look forward to it every week! Blayne still bugs, but he was funny with the “leatha.”

Hell yea I agreed. His dress looked like soemthing a hooker would wear. Ok, maybe not a hooker, but a really slutty prom queen with little parental supervision. Ick. I also hated that he maligned his model’s choice of fabric. THEY WERE THE CLIENTS so they might as well suck it up and use what they chose. Had he followed that simple rule, he would have had enough fabric to cover her tiny model ass.
And yeah, I was all prepared to hate Blayne, but I loved that dress.
