yaaaaawwwwnnnnn, why am I so tired after our road trip?
As you may know (read, people, read!), we had a little road trip down to Newport, Oregon last week.
We didn’t DO that much, a fast aquarium visit –fast, because two pools back at the hotel were calling for Kid (square pool over watching otters and sea lions eat?? Kid needs to reorganize her priorities!).
Little known fact: Newport’s Oregon Coast Aquarium has the www.aquarium.org domain name! Well, I was impressed.
Kid did go fly a kite when the rain stopped.
And yet, I feel so tired. Granted, sitting in the car for hours on end can wear a person out.
But did you know certain hotel chains have security cameras in the room?
No one looks at them, I’m sure, unless trouble comes up, but they were nice enough to let me see my own.
The quality’s not very good, but here’s a freeze frame shot of my bed:
I might be squished on the edge, but at least the camera doesn’t make my butt look big.
Here’s a freeze frame of the Hubs in the other bed in our hotel room.
Hmmmm.
Does anyone (other than him get decent sleep on a trip with kids??

I agree! My hubby thinks vacations are soooo great – he gets to take time off work and just chill. I, on the other hand, end up doing exactly what I do every day, except that on vacation I have to do it in cramped hotel rooms and crowded restaurants. Where’s the vacation in that?

Those are gorgeous photos!! The colors are fantastic!! As for the bedroom facilities, it looks like everyone has ample sleeping space — except you. How about getting a roll-away next time…

yeah, B., and on vacation I get ZERO time without the Kid being awake. we wake up together and go to sleep together, over and over……
I may need a rollaway next time, GL! so long as no one follows me onto it!
