Flannel. Shoot, I'm still wearing flannel jammies with my flannel sheets a lot of nights (sleeping with the windows open may be a factor there). The percale sheets come out of the closet for a brief fling in August. Certainly helps the percale ones live forever.

To me, it's more about the comforter than the sheets. I use high-thread-count cotton sheets in any weather ... because I have a really nice lightweight goose-down comforter that just seems to give me more warmth when I need it in cool temperatures, and gives me more breathability when it's warmer out (though sometimes when it's REALLY warm, I do need to stick my feet out from under).

If you have a really good all-season comforter, I think the sheet question is irrelevant.

Hubby doesn't like flannel or I swear I would use them all year round!

Opt for a dual sided electric blanket for winter months.

Oh, and first warm day here since Mother's day...I'm sensing a trend..since it's FATHER's day!

Well I live on the east side and we have our cotton sheets on because we have had some really hot days, now this week it snowed just 30 minutes from here. WOW! go for the 400 thread count cotton and a great quilt

Silk. Slick, cool, sumptuous silk.

And then change the damn things every day because it's so freaking HOT and I sweat like a horse at night.
