it’s official: we’re White Trash
Move over White Trash Mom (but congrats on the book!), cuz I betcha don’t have THIS in your front yard!
It’s been there a little while, the potty. We have a slow, DIY bathroom remodel going on. The master bath. It’s not getting any bigger (rats), but slightly newer, after we had to check for rot by ripping out the entire shower (there was none).
At dinner, I say to the Hubs, “Maybe I can use it as a planter. Put some dirt and a flower in it?” (oh, yes, that will get him moving this thing to the DUMP!)
Between bites of his smoked rib roast, he says, “Well….it’d have good drainage.”
That’s us, beautifying Bainbridge Island, one eyesore at a time…..

Maybe if you smear it with crap and stick a picture of the president on it, you could apply for an NEA grant.

Oh, Brooke, a little for this project might help speed it along! Not a bad idea…
Bananas, now you must visit to see the beauty that is Bainbridge!
Chip, I wonder if there’s a redneck contest I could enter…but the prize would probably be weird…
Sue, thanks! We’re so proud…

I love it! Bummer we got rid of our old carseats last week…they were great lawn decorations and would have made great planters.

I’ve seen people use them as planters. There is one in a yard on my way home from work. It’s very artistically painted with these gorgeous flowers (very well done, not being sarcastic!) and butterflies and planted with some ivy/viney kind of flower. It’s kind of cool, in a redneck way.

There are easier ways to fertilize your garden.

Ha! For about a week this fall when I started all the remodeling I had not one toilet but three, plus three sinks and two bathtubs in my front yard. AND my one of my toilets was green, one gray, and one yellow. And one of the bathtubs was PINK! It was a sight to behold.

That’s just nice. A room with a view.

There are some people down the road from us who are using a clawfoot bathtub as a planter. They painted it gold because, you know, that makes it classy.

Brooke, your “Maybe if you smear it with crap and stick a picture of the president on it, you could apply for an NEA grant.” is hilarious.
And sad but true.

At least yours was pink, Will, and everyone could see you must have “taste” if you’re getting rid of it! It probably didn’t stay there for weeks and weeks and weeks and….
Maybe I’ll paint it for yard art.
