in which I find I have another princess….
It’s been about five months since Kid got her new big-girl bed, and guess who decided it is GOOD?
By day, (I just discovered) she lounges here when she gets a quiet moment (when DOES a princess get a moment to herself??). By night, she elbows me, kicks me, and moans her doggy dreams in my bed.
Of course, added bonus is she can watch birds out the window. Robins, robins, everywhere.
Oh, princess grows weary of photo shoots. Get me my biscuit, lackey.

I think your princess needs to tell my 2 little princesses that BEDS ARE MADE FOR LYING IN, not bouncing on, hiding under, rolling around in or eating a picnic on. (Although, from what I’ve read about your princess, I don’t think she would hesitate to eat a picnic or two in bed).

Yes, those would be good messages for my OTHER princess to hear, also. This princess is an excellent post-picnic cleanup-er!

She looks like a really nice dog. The kind I would want if, you know, I didn’t hate animals.

Oh, she’d lick that hate right outta ya, D, assuming you just ate a steak. Or a blueberry muffin. Or had an ear plug in your ear.

She looks like she’s DARING you to tell her to get down!
My ancient black lab knows he’s not allowed on our bed. But he’s a sneaky old man. He sidles up there while were not home and turns the sheet and comforter into his own private little nest. When I come home to a wrecked bed, I know he’s been up there scratching around, moving things, making it “just right.” But I’ve never actually caught him doing it. He’s a sneaky little snot.
