According to this article, for a mere $3000 or so, you can buy yourself a solar powered garbage can. My city did.
Did I mention my city is located in the Pacific Northwest? I hope this thing doesn’t need much in the way of SOLAR for its power.
See, it’s really a trash compactor powered by the sun, requiring fewer dumpings as a result.
It has an arm inside smashing down the trash. Too bad it’s not see-through. Kid would like to watch the smashing.
I have my doubts, but I hope it works out for us.
I don’t know why, but I keep thinking of I Love Lucy when she crushes grapes with that mean Italian woman.
Forget solar. Maybe we need trash cans that all our children, residents and visitors alike, can tramp on as they walk by?
Natural energy power. Totally sustainable.

Hi,
I’m Jkim, inventor. I live on the island. I’d be happy to show your kids (or you) the insidce of the machine sometime.
The BigBelly on the island was donated by Eileen Black of John L. Scott real estate. Nice woman!
It works great in the pacific NW clouds, all winter long. no problem, it’s actually “ambient light powered.”
thanks for your comments.

My Kid would love that!
I’m glad to hear the Big Belly was donated. I’ve never heard of ambient light powered, but it sounds like we need more of that in this area.
Thanks for visiting! Let me know what other interesting items you invent!
