greener drink

Earth Day is fast approaching, so I thought I’d toss in my two cents for helping conserve our precious resources.
This is my small effort at getting greener: a stainless steel water bottle.
I use it at the gym. It has a handy sport cap that comes off. It goes in the dishwasher. Since the hubs added three different kinds of water filter at our house, I believe our tap water tastes better than the bottled stuff. No more plastic bottles for us!
Plus, when filled, it doubles as a personal safety device. Any potential robber hit with it will definitely reconsider his current line of work.
Sure, I do some other stuff, too, like recycle. Especially now that Bainbridge Island has switched to the non-sorting recycling. Now, I recklessly mix plastic, newspapers, and milk jugs! Woo hoo!
Are you getting green?

I’ve been green for a long, long time. Our ultimate goal (with a 10 year action plan) is to go completely off-grid. Can’t get much greener than that!

I’m holding out for Honda’s personal hydrogen station - serving both car and home. Should be out in the next few years.

Okay, if your stainless steel bottle goes in the dishwasher, then what the heck am I using my stainless steel water bottle for? I have to wash my Sigg by hand.

I looked it up and my bottle is officially dishwasher safe, except for the cap. Whew. You had me worried there!

I love non-sorting recycling.
Nothing’s more “green” these days than the movie industry. I looked at the movie ads lately, and there was nothing but recycled ideas.

Yep, one little step at a time.
