Let the dog in!

Well, they had a little thing here Saturday called a “caucus.” Perhaps you heard. And by “here,” I mean across the street from my house.

I didn’t go (I know, tsk, tsk). I didn’t go because I had a writing class I decided was more important than our nation. I’m selfish that way. (actually, I do it all for YOU, dear reader!)

Now, I’m not complaining about how someone decided you had to FACE the other voters in the area, rather than lick a stamp and be on your way. I’m not complaining about the people blocking my driveway area, or the ones who parked in the ditches around my house and walked down the middle of the street like it’s Mardi Gras, without the bare tits or beads.

What I’m complaining about is the fact that the timing of the caucus coincided precisely with the DELIVERY OF MY MAIL. And while our federal government wanted you to VOTE Saturday, they apparently felt all this extra car traffic made mail delivery just THAT MUCH MORE DIFFICULT.

All of which means that while I could VOTE Saturday, I could not RECEIVE mail. And more importantly, yea ‘O, MUCH more importantly, I did NOT get to return my Netflix movie on Saturday. Which means I could not mail it until MONDAY. Which means, if you’re still with me, I could not possibly get a new movie until THURSDAY, at best.

DEMOCRACY SUCKS.
