Learn-A-Word Wednesday: faineant \fay-nay-AWN\
adjective:
1. Doing nothing or given to doing nothing; idle; lazy.
2. A do-nothing; an idle fellow; a sluggard.According to Felipe Fernandez-Armesto, Charles II was no faineant half-wit but a conscientious and reflective king.
– David Gilmour, “The falsity of ‘true Spain’”, The Spectator, July 22, 2000Faineant is from French, from Middle French fait, “does” + nĂ©ant, “nothing.”
This is my clue to you that I might still be tarrying along here, not quite into the Action expected in a New Year.
However, today for the first time EVER a third party is coming to clean my house. Maybe seeing them take action will GUILT me into Action?
On the other hand, I have been blogging in this New Year…. Instead of faineant, I faiblogging.

This is one of those words that nobody really uses that somebody made up to make other people feel stupid. Like me.
