Dog saves elderly woman in snow.
Here’s a hopeful, holiday story for you readers reader. Did you hear about the Jack Russell Terrier in this article?
A 91 year old neighbor delivering Christmas cookies slipped and fell in the snow, and although the snow berm hid her from view, the neighbor’s dog, Taz, had seen her from inside his house and barkedbarkedbarked as only JRT’s can do. His owner finally let him outside, and he led the owner over to the woman. Yay, Taz!! (I’m wondering if “Taz” is short for Tazmanian Devil, which makes perfect sense if you’ve ever known any JRT’s)
Nice, happy ending. Woman was quickly transported to the hospital, and her broken bones were tended to before frostbite set in.
I am not sure if this story should go under the heading of “another example of (wo)man’s best friend.” (Go, Taz!)
Or maybe, “no good deed goes unpunished.”
Or, more likely, “every now and then, a Jack Russell barks for a good reason.”
