If you were a millionaire and innocent of drug usage charges, would you fight those charges?
Swiss tennis champ, Martina Hingis says “no.” Instead, she retires.
Hmmmm.
She stated that she was 100% innocent and that her lawyer said she had a good case against the positive drug test results taken this summer during Wimbledon. So, naturally, she heads to the court of Public Opinion rather than clear her name.
A sad way to end your career, I say.
But, then again, maybe she is laughing all the way to the bank. You don’t lose your endorsements this way, do you?

Then there’s Barry Bonds, who declares that if the Hall of Fame takes his asterisked home run ball, he’ll never darken their door again.

What is it with the privileged athlete set? I remember all the football players in high school getting special excuses, favors, etc, unlike the rest of us poor slobs who couldn’t run and catch a ball simultaneously.
