top 5 reasons this blog will stay small like a flea
5. I can’t keep up the pace of “networking” among other blogs to promote LTDI. The minute I stop, my numbers drop like a still shark to the ocean floor. And I have no silly items to sell on Ebay to get attention…. And I don’t know how to USE Ebay….
4. Any additional time writing more complicated pieces (with video or whatnot) will cause permanent red impressions on my thighs from the hot, evil cleats in this stupid laptop. This must be causing cancer somehow. Not to mention the effect on my rump, which we shall not mention.
3. It’s been almost a year, and yet no one has offered me a $1,000,000 advance for my novel (or my memoir or….my doggie pix). WTF?? Don’t they know I’m a cheap ho who’d take $500,000? Sheeeeesh.
2. Sleep. I luvs me the sleep.
1. If I force myself to Do More, it’s almost like work. Only without the paycheck.

Seems you’ve remade this blog writing from a fun experience into more like a self-imposed volunteer job. Volunteering, I’ve found, always turns into much more than originally signed on for and becomes just as demanding as a paid position, otherwise known as “work!”

I feel your pain. Blogging is a surprising amount of work — at least when it comes to getting your blog recognized. That is SOOO tough …

Yes, volunteering is taxing. I grow faint thinking about it. A few people here pressure me for posts if I ever slack off (i.e., live my life) and next thing I know I feel like I Have To.
And, yes, dd, getting acknowledged IS work, and it’s work without a job description, so I don’t know WTF I should be doing….print up business cards? I think I missed the gold strike, and now I have to build a hotel for the other wanna-be miners in the area….(what am I talking about?).

You don’t know how to work e-Bay either? I thought I was the only one.

I totally feel the same way sometime, but them I remind myself that I blog for me and not for others. I post when I a) have the time and b) think I have something to write about.
I like both your blog and the doggie pix. I will still vist!
Sleep is precious, never give that up for anything but you children (and I only deal with that to an extent)

Ditto. Ditto. Ditto. So, I blog when I have time and I network when I have time. I don’t want it to ever feel like a job!
