Well, bear with me. I am recovering. Just as my cold began to clear up, Kid had her walapalooza birthday party extravaganza (once I find the camera cable, I’ll post a few choice pics). I’m now doubling up on therapy sessions for PTSD.

Meanwhile, for all you nursing moms up in the middle of the night on the west coast, be sure to look out the window to see the lunar eclipse tonight. 2am-ish, I think.

Let me know how it goes. I hope to be dreaming of blue waters and sunny beaches…..

it takes a village….or just a lawyer?

Somehow a post about Bible camp turned into a conversation of lawsuits against school systems…. Which reminded me of this story.

A lawsuit arose in Idaho after school officials scrubbed face paint off of two kids in junior high. It seems that the school officials used rubbing alcohol, fingernail polish remover, and industrial cleaner. On the girl’s faces. This falls into the WWTT (What Were They Thinking) category. I’m mean, schools are always getting charged with being TOO p.c., but these people were apparently not afraid of anything. Not even of just how bad an idea this was.

I think 12 is a little young for a chemical face peel. Don’t you?

I am not pro-litigation (really! just be a lawyer and you’ll become that way too!), BUT if schools don’t want to get sued, they should not do REALLY STUPID THINGS.

That’s informative. (not) I think my Word of the Day people are getting snotty (see how my vocabulary has grown). Maybe when I was studying for the PSAT, I knew one or both these words, but now, I’ll need a little more in the way of, oh, say, a DEFINITION!

Unless pugnacious has something to do with pugs, the dogs. Are they pugnacious? Hey, pugnacious little pooch ya got there!
