(You’re getting another new word this week because this annoyed me.)

pugnacious.
OH.
Bellicose=pugnacious
That’s informative. (not) I think my Word of the Day people are getting snotty (see how my vocabulary has grown). Maybe when I was studying for the PSAT, I knew one or both these words, but now, I’ll need a little more in the way of, oh, say, a DEFINITION!
Unless pugnacious has something to do with pugs, the dogs. Are they pugnacious? Hey, pugnacious little pooch ya got there!
Oh, am I being pugnacious?!

We may have large vocabularies, but we are seldom permitted to use our big words in print. We have to write to the least educated reader. *sigh*
