This is exactly the story I would want spread all over the world if I wanted to sell that ball for a buttload.

I’m pretty sure I would have had the nutsack to throw the ball back onto the field … and deface it with a penknife first.

They do. But when a ballplayer wants the ball, he’ll use team officials to use every creative coercion and enticement they can think of to get it back.
