pop quiz, people!

I put this in the Yahoo ask! and NO ONE has answered it for me. Anyone want to try to show off your knowledge? I tried online searching but came up with bubkus.
Who said “save Alaska for last because its beauty will spoil every other place for you” (or “don’t see it as a young man, see it when you’re old”??) or words to that effect. I was thinking it was Abbey or Muir or someone like that.
It’s bugging me. Anyone know?
And no prize, just bragging rights and my HIGH ESTEEM for you!!

I found it myself!! True, so true!
“There is one word of advice and caution to be given those intending to visit Alaska for pleasure. If you are old, go by all means. But if you are young, wait. The scenery of Alaska is much grander than anything else of the kind in the world and it is not well to dull one’s capacity for enjoyment by seeing the finest first.”
(National Geographic Society President Henry Gannett, Member of the 1899 Harriman Expedition to Alaska)
