another lesson

“Bills, bills, bills and junk.” I was reviewing the mail out loud as we were in the car. Kid heard me from the backseat.

“Are you angry, Mommy? You sound angry.”

“Not really.”

“Yes, you are. And, if you are angry, then you should sort it on the inside. That will make you feel better.” (Said with finger wag)

Hmm. Is this some anger management concept introduced at preschool? Not bad. Think it through. Master your mind. A little vague, but okay. It’s up there with “if you get tired swimming, you should float on your back.” Good idea.

“Oh, sort it out on the inside? That sounds smart, sweetie. Good thinking.”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, sort it on the inside.”

“Sort it on the inside. That’s what I said.” I’m startin’ to get mad now. So is Kid.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Sort it on SIZE!!!!!!!! Put the big pieces together and……..”

Oh. Actual sorting. That’s different.

Some of her lessons are a little more ON than others.
