i'm with you on HP. haven't read any of the books nor watched the movies. in fact the more famous a book/movie/song is, the more i tend to shy away from them.

ok, except star wars. gotta love those ewoks! :P

I'm here via Jeff's blog. A funny time for me to land here since I am a huge HP fan - I was one of those crazies who read it right away. But I am totally with you on golf. Just cannot watch it.

Yea, I've never been big into the fantasy genre (unless you count the first 2 Star Wars movies).

Sheri, walking in Medina would be a surefire way to flame up my house envy. It's bad enough on BI. We are supposed to "be happy for them!"

Jenn, of course, booze is a necessity for the golf tournies! That must be what is missing now, eh, Jim? I need that glass of wine to be more bemused.

It's fun to be perversely anti-trendy. While everybody goosesteps in lockstep, somebody has to stand off to the side with a glass of wine and a bemused smile: "Um, why, exactly?"

I enjoy the series, but I wasn't one of those nerds who stood in line all night long to snag a copy!

You've done better than me....the only way I can even remotely tolerate a game of golf is if I'm drinking heavily, the entire time. Sure makes chasing those balls more interesting when your tipsy!

Harry Potter and football season just around the corner. How you holding up?

I agree though about the "I wanna hit the jackpot". I was walking yesterday with a girlfriend in Medina and felt really really poor. I'm just a five percenter wanting to be a one percenter. Maybe I should walk in a poorer neighborhood so I can feel better about myself. Note to self: buy lotttery ticket this week.

Don't hold back Wendy, tell us how you really feel(smile).

Obviously we all have our own tastes and preferences regarding everything from food to books and movies.

From the beginning, I've been surprised how huge Pottermania has become. I love the books, but then I have always been a huge fan of the fantasy genre ever since my dad would read The Chronicles of Narnia to me as a child.
