Back from her sold out engagement in Vegas….
We have a house concert now. Daddy and Kid. Often (even as a bribe–”it might be time for a concert if you….brush teeth or eat your broccoli or pick up your toys….”). His instrument: an old Gibson he is learning to play. Hers: a 4 foot long pink blow-up guitar, now saggy due to teeth bites. Can’t blame the dog this time either.
For the Big Show, he is just the Announcer; only She plays guitar. However, before and sometimes after, and even in the middle of each performance, she takes questions from the boys and girls. She might prefer the q&a portion of her shows. I think she is performing at a school. The Announcer chooses who gets to ask questions. It might be the boy in the front with red hair, or the girl in the back with ponytails, or someone in the middle. In their squeaky, high pitched voices, they ask the singer all kinds of questions, how she writes such great songs, how she got so talented, how her hair looks so good each time, what her favorite color is that day. DH supplies the voices of the boys and girls. He is very talented, too.
After a satisfying q&a, she performs. It might be a song, a dance, one night it was interpretive dance in sign language in Spanish, or a combination of all. DH has written one or two songs and they have collaborated on others. Many are works in progress constantly changing. Topics include black crow, who loves her and where (everywhere he goes), cows, and dogs. She is so talented, so adored by her fans. We hope it won’t go to her head. Oops. Too. Late.
