I was shocked to see this news online when I read a local club was hosting a tribute to Paul Delay. A tribute? He died?
A Portland, Oregonian, Delay was 55, and days before his death, he was diagnosed with leukemia. What a loss. I remember dancing up a storm to the Paul Delay Band in Juneau, Alaska. He was amazing. The crowd loved him. It is so sad when an artist who gave so much joy to people is taken at such a young age.
It’s a cliche (but a true one) — he will live on forever through his music. May he rest in peace and rhythm.
