ignoramus \ig-nuh-RAY-mus\

\ig-nuh-RAY-mus\, noun:An ignorant person; a dunce.

I am quite an ignoramus, I know nothing in the world.– Charlotte Bronte

This was my word of the day, via email. The other day I signed up at dictionary.com. Figure I should expand my vocabulary if I am going to write. Now this. What are they trying to say? I was just trying to improve my Scrabble score, and now there are all these personal accusations. I will have to unsubscribe if they can’t move beyond this attitude. I get enough grief from Kid.

  1. Before I chose livinginsmallsizes.com as my blog name I wanted ignoramus. I even tried getting igno.ram.us, thinking I was clever to use the .us extension. But every variation of the name ignoramus has been registered!

  2. That’s interesting, Will! No ignoramus domain names? Now who’s the ignoramus?! :) I just don’t understand who needs this word as a “word of the day”??? Even my kid knows what this word means….
