Let the dog in!

I cannot express the feelings of freedom, the loosening of the ropes, the weight off the shoulders. Yes, I have been shredding documents again. After a long hiatus, the shredder is out. I was afraid Kid would include her fingers in the process, but she is proving to be a handy assistant. What is so great about shredding, you ask? When it’s documents related to your former job, that’s what. That job you do for the money but don’t want to, that job that keeps beckoning for you, that job you went to school for so long to do…. And I’ve learned something, too. What is better than shredding those dusty old papers? I’ll tell you what…burning them in the fireplace! Yes, it is fall, and nothing like a nice warm fire as the days get dark so quickly. And nothing like a fire, fueled by desire to change, burning your past away, making room for new ventures, new ideas, and new file space for things like….stories! Yes, america, go forth and Shred! Aaaaaaaa-men!
